Jovan Vanzant

Jovan Vanzant is the current Human Resources Director at The Fresh Air Fund. Prior to this, they were the Human Resources Director at PIBLY RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM INC from January 2020 to March 2021. Jovan was also the Human Resources and Organizational Development Manager at The Animal Medical Center from March 2014 to March 2015.

Jovan has a wealth of experience in human resources and organizational development, and has been instrumental in designing and implementing region-wide recruitment, behavior-based interviewing and skill matching procedures designed to reduce new employee turnover. Jovan has also negotiated contract language and benefits adjustments, and manages all Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS activities.

In their previous role at The Animal Medical Center, Jovan was responsible for developing business strategy by supporting leaders in identifying, prioritizing, and building capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. Jovan coordinated employee on-boarding, re-designed new-employee orientations, generated organization's policies, lead staff training and cultural development, and lead talent management initiatives.

Jovan Vanzant's educational career began at Cornell University, where they studied labor relations. Jovan then went on to earn their BA from Smith College.
