Nadir Samji

Nadir Samji, MBA, CFE has extensive experience in risk management, fraud prevention, and compliance. Nadir currently holds the position of Head of Risk at FreshBooks, a role they have held since December 2023. Prior to this, they worked at nanopay Corporation, where they served as the Vice President of Fraud Strategy, Risk, and Payments from February 2022 to May 2023. Before that, they held the role of Director of Fraud Strategy and Operations at nanopay Corporation from October 2018 to February 2022. From June 2016 to October 2018, Samji was the Head of Compliance and Fraud Prevention at Plooto. Earlier in their career, they worked at Coast Capital Savings, where they held various roles including Analyst in Risk Policy and Guidelines from April 2014 to February 2015, Fraud Prevention Analyst from March 2012 to March 2014, and Financial Services from July 2008 to March 2012.

Nadir Samji, MBA, CFE, obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at Simon Fraser University from 2011 to 2013. Nadir'sundergraduate degree is a BA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, which they earned from 2006 to 2011. In addition, Nadir holds a certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
