Tim van Oijen

Tim van Oijen is a Senior Software Engineer at FreshMinds, specializing in IT consultancy with a focus on software engineering, data science, and cloud solutions since September 2021. Previously, Tim served as a Java Developer and Scientific Researcher at the Belastingdienst, contributing to the Transport and Planning group at Technische Universiteit Delft from March 2016 to August 2021. In this role, Tim developed software to assist researchers and conducted a PhD project on smart activity scheduling tools for urban visitors. Tim also has experience as a Teaching Assistant in programming at Lyceum Kralingen Rotterdam and as a System Development Volunteer for the BONT foundation, where Tim designed and maintained a web application for youth engagement. Earlier experience includes volunteering with MEE Rotterdam Rijnmond to teach autism-affected youth independent commuting and a role as a Software Engineer at ORTEC, where Tim worked on maintenance and development projects. Tim holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
