Selena Small

Selena Small's work experience includes several roles in software engineering and management. Selena is currently working at Fresho as a Team Lead, Software Engineer, and Head of Delivery, where they are responsible for building and scaling the network and improving the user onboarding experience. Prior to this, Selena worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Fresho and as a Software Engineer at the same company, where they developed full-stack applications using technologies like Ruby, Rails, React, and AWS. Selena also has experience as a Software Developer at Hemisphere NZ, where they were involved in the development of software applications and infrastructure design. Selena worked as an Admin & Operations Manager at Pan de Muerto, where they handled staff management, marketing strategies, and reservations. Selena also worked as a Junior Software Developer at Simply Payroll, where they collaborated with the CTO on implementation and testing. Selena's earlier experience includes serving as a General Manager at Mini Bar, where they managed staff, implemented marketing strategies, and maintained point of sale systems.

Selena Small's education history includes three diplomas from WelTec. From 2010 to 2012, they obtained a Diploma in Business with a focus on Management (Business), as well as a Diploma in Accounting (Accounting Technician).

In addition to their diplomas, Selena has obtained various certifications in different fields. In 2016, they became an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services. Selena also completed a course on delivering a relational data warehouse and received an edX Verified Certificate in 2016.

Selena has further enhanced their skills through online platforms such as LinkedIn. In 2017, they completed courses on installing and running Ruby on Rails 5: Mac, Ruby on Rails 5 New Features, and Up and Running with Git and GitHub.

More recently, in 2022, Selena obtained several certifications. Selena completed the Secure Developer: Level 1 and Security Fundamentals: Level 1 courses from SafeStack. Selena also participated in The Mintable - Manager Foundation Accelerator program. Additionally, they completed the Leading in a Remote Environment course from HarvardX.

Lastly, Selena holds a General Manager's Certificate from Wellington City Council, which they obtained in November 2014.
