Michael Lapointe

Michael LaPointe has extensive experience in engineering and automation within the food and beverage manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as the Engineering Controls Manager and formerly as the Sr. Controls Engineer at Freshpet since May 2019, Michael LaPointe focuses on managing projects aimed at enhancing quality and overall equipment effectiveness in a GMP environment, with expertise in automation system design and project management. Prior roles include Sr. Project Manager for Automation and Facilities at C&S Wholesale Grocers and Senior Manufacturing Engineer at OraSure Technologies. Michael LaPointe holds a BS in Physics from Duquesne University and is certified as a Green Belt by the Manufacturing Resource Center.
