FRIENDS of Broomfield is seeking a creative and talented multimedia designer to join our dynamic fund development team. The person in the position of Multimedia Marketing and Design Specialist, under the direction of the Director of Philanthropy, plays an important role by providing support to the fund development & communications efforts of the organization. The primary focus of this position is to combine marketing and multimedia design skills to create communications and campaigns that use multiple forms of media to communicate our brand message and engage our target audience.
This position participates in fundraising activities, supports donor and public relations as needed, and collaborates with the development team to advance the organization’s mission and fundraising goals.
Reports to: Director of Philanthropy
Hours: Flexible 16 hours/week (May include hours outside of typical business hours)
Classification: Part-Time

Areas of Responsibility
Administrative

Work with vendors on production and ordering of marketing materials

Responsible for managing supply of name badges, business cards for staff and Boards

Create promotions for email signatures as needed.

Meet with development team weekly and as needed.
Communication & Marketing
- Create and post content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Manage a social media calendar and ensure social media posts are scheduled
- Develop print and digital marketing collateral such as brochures and flyers
- Assist with development of content for monthly emails.
- Assist with the creation and development of presentations for community engagement
- Work with programs to create marketing flyers for Social & Travel programs
- Work with development team to create the Annual Report
Events
- Create event registration pages and fundraising campaigns on website
- Work with the Development Team to create marketing materials for events (logos, flyers, videos)
- Participate in fundraising activities
- Produce testimonial videos.
- Create slideshows.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a marketing and multimedia design role supporting nonprofit fundraising and development.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles
- Extensive Experience with multimedia design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator, Light Room) as well as Canva.
- Knowledge of web design principles and platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- A self-starter, data and deadline driven, ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail, and organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills – can work effectively with co-workers, program participants, families, donors, community members and volunteers.
- Flexible and able to work in a busy fast paced team environment.
