Catrina Pickering serves as the Deputy Head of England at Friends of the Earth since June 2020, where responsibilities include managing a team that supports over 200 activist groups in environmental justice campaigns and leading initiatives on anti-racism, activist training, and campaign strategies. Prior to this role, Catrina held multiple positions at Oxfam from 2015 to 2020, including Constituency Campaigner Programme Manager, where a strategy was developed to enhance volunteer engagement with MPs, and Campaigner Project Manager, focusing on global campaigns related to food and climate. Catrina’s earlier experience includes roles as a Development Worker at Action for Sustainable Living, Gender Programme Coordinator at Oxfam, Community Development Worker at Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action, and Diversity Coordinator at Transition Network, in addition to varied roles at ARTICLE 19 from 2004 to 2008. Catrina’s career reflects a strong commitment to environmental justice, community engagement, and advocacy for marginalized groups.
