Rianna Gargiulo

Rianna Gargiulo is an experienced campaign and community organiser with a strong background in social justice and activism. Currently serving as the Postcode Gardener Programme Lead and Campaign and Community Organiser at Friends of the Earth since November 2020, Rianna previously held roles at The Equality Trust from June 2018 to November 2020, where key responsibilities included managing grant-funded campaigns, building networks of activists, and coordinating significant events. Notable achievements include organising the first #FightInequality festival and producing a nominated short film on UK activists. Earlier roles include Policy and Research Coordinator at University of Sussex Students' Union, where research and campaign advocacy were central duties, as well as serving as Welfare Officer during a previous term. Rianna holds a Master of Arts in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of Sussex.
