Monique Mellema

Monique Mellema is a seasoned professional in regulatory affairs and food safety, currently serving as the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager for Innovation at FrieslandCampina Ingredients since January 2023. Mellema has extensive experience in the food industry, including a role as Senior Regulatory Manager for Food Safety, Import/Export, and Compliance at Reckitt from July 2017 to December 2022, and as a Board Member of Specialised Nutrition Europe during the same period. Additional leadership roles include Chair of the Working Group on Food Safety & Export at VNFKD and Board Member of the International Special Dietary Foods Industries. Mellema's career began in quality assurance and policy, with notable positions at FanoFineFood and Productboard for Horticulture. Mellema holds an MSc in Food Technology from Wageningen University & Research and has a solid educational foundation at Utrecht University and RSG Amersfoort.
