Kat Hudson

Kat Hudson's work experience includes working as an Arts Council Grant Support Worker at Arts Council England since January 2021. Previously, they worked as an Arts Writer/Journalist at Frieze starting in January 2020. Before that, they were an independent curator starting in September 2015. Additionally, they have experience as an artist since August 2011. Kat also has a background as a Founding Editor in Chief of Lesley Magazine, an LGBTQ+ womxn and trans and non-binary community magazine, from January 2019 onwards. Kat has also worked as a DJ and bartender at The Retro Bar since October 2015. Other roles include being a life model at Art Model Collective since February 2019, a director at The Retro Gallery London since July 2016, and an admin and events staff member at The Horse Hospital Gallery from November 2019 to December 2020. Kat has shown initiative and taken on additional responsibilities in their roles, earning trust and popularity among their colleagues.

Kat Hudson began their education at Our Lady's Abingdon School from 2003 to 2010, where they completed their high school education and obtained A-levels in Art & Design, English Literature, and Theatre Studies. In 2010 to 2011, they attended Abingdon & Witney College and earned a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. Continuing their education, Kat attended New Bucks University from 2011 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising: Creative with Honours. In 2012 to 2013, they furthered their studies at Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole in Creative Communication. In 2018, Kat enrolled in a Module Course at Tate, focusing on Museum Curating Now. Lastly, in 2020, they attended the Royal Drawing School for a Summer School program specializing in Portraits and Self Portraits / Drawing Marathon.
