Amir A. Ghaferi

Amir A. Ghaferi, MD, MSc, MBA, currently serves as the President & CEO of the Physician Enterprise at Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin and as the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and CEO of Medical College Physicians. Additionally, Amir holds the position of President of Community Physicians at Froedtert Health. Prior experience includes directing the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since 2015, and an extensive academic career at the University of Michigan Medical School, where Amir was a Professor of Surgery and held various leadership roles, including Vice Chair for Strategy and Finance and Chief Clinical Officer of the University of Michigan Medical Group. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Michigan, a Master's in Health and Healthcare Research, an MD from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Physiological Science from UCLA.
