Lucy Ives has a wealth of experience in the field of social media management. Lucy began their career in 2013 as an Editorial Assistant for Moneymagpie.com, where they wrote copy for a consumer finance website and contributed to features meetings. Lucy was also a Features Assistant for Management Today, where they wrote copy for book reviews and the brainfood section of the magazine, as well as proofreading features and researching for the features editor. In 2013, they also took on the role of Mumsnet Local, managing over 100 remote editors and creating weekly content for Mumsnet.com.
In 2015, Ives began working as a Freelance Social Media Manager with Digital Mums, where they developed and implemented an eight-week social media campaign for their client, ScooterSlingz. Lucy then went on to work as a Freelance Social Media Manager for Sibona Limited, where they managed the Twitter and Facebook accounts and created brand awareness for the company. Lucy also worked as a Freelance Social Media Manager for Stoves Online and then for Samphire Communications Ltd., where they identified potential customers and influencers and wrote the social media strategy for the business.
In 2021, Ives took on the role of Freelance Social Media Manager, and in 2022 they began working as a Community Manager for Frolo.
Lucy Ives' education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the University of Bristol (1993-1996), A Levels in English Literature, History, and French from St Bernard's Grammar School, an NCTJ from Lambeth College (2013), and an ACA (2003) from ICAEW (2000-2003). In 2015-2016, they completed a Social Media Management course with Digital Mums.
