Gary Anderson, P.E.

Gary Anderson, P.E. has extensive work experience in the engineering industry. Gary began their career as an intern at Weyerhaeuser in 1993. Gary then went on to complete internships at Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories in 1994 and Westinghouse Hanford Company in 1995.

In 1997, Anderson joined McHale & Associates, Inc. where they held various roles. Gary started as an Associate Engineer, where they prepared testing procedures, developed spreadsheet models, and served as an on-site engineer at power plants. Gary then became a Senior Engineer & Project Manager, responsible for managing performance testing projects and supervising engineers. Finally, they served as the Principal Engineer & Regional Lead, overseeing the local engineering group, supporting sales and marketing, and providing project management support.

Anderson's most recent role was as the Lead Process Engineer at Fuel Tech, Inc. starting in 2011. In this position, they provided process performance analysis support for power plants using Fuel Tech's targeted in-furnace chemical injection technology. Gary conducted data analysis, prepared detailed reports, and provided consulting services for plants running trials with different fuels.

Gary Anderson, P.E. has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. Gary then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. In 2017 to 2020, they attended Bellevue College Continuing Education and earned a Certificate in Digital Photography. Additionally, they hold certifications as an Amateur Radio Operator (Extra Class) from the Federal Communications Commission, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers, and as a Professional Engineer in the state of Washington by the State of Washington Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
