Alvin Tang's work experience begins in 2008, where they served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Chemistry Department at The Ohio State University. Alvin then moved on to Texas A&M University, where they held various roles such as Graduate Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Graduate Research Assistant in departments such as Toxicology, Veterinary Pathobiology, Biochemistry, and Biophysics.
In 2018, Alvin joined PPD as a Scientist and later became a Senior Scientist-Technical Project Manager. Alvin worked with the company until 2020.
Following their time at PPD, Alvin joined Elephas in 2020. Alvin first served as an Associate Scientist in Research and Development before transitioning to the role of Research Scientist in Immunology and Microscopy. Alvin remained with Elephas until 2022.
In 2022, Alvin joined Catalent Pharma Solutions as a Senior Scientist in Quality Control. Alvin worked there until the end of 2022.
Currently, Alvin is employed by FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics as a Quality Control Scientist, a position they started in 2023.
Alvin Tang completed their education in a chronological order. Alvin attained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Toxicology from Texas A&M University, starting in 2012 and finishing in 2017. Prior to that, they earned another Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biochemistry from the same university, studying from 2009 to 2012. Alvin also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009.
In addition to their educational accomplishments, Alvin has acquired several certifications. Alvin obtained certification to operate the Cytek Northern Lights™ full spectrum flow cytometer from Cytek Biosciences in November 2021. In May 2018, they completed the EDGE/LEAD Program at PPD. Furthermore, Alvin received certification to operate the JEOL 1200EX Transmission Electron Microscope from Texas A&M University in September 2011.
