Manager, Process Engineering at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics

Christian Tormos has a diverse work experience in various scientific and engineering roles. Christian started their career as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University from August 2008 to May 2012. Christian then joined Oklahoma State University as a Research Assistant, where they focused on developing a stem cell-based regenerative therapy for heart attack patients. Their work aimed to improve current methods and enhance the longevity and quality of life for these patients. Christian then moved on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they served as an Assistant Faculty Associate from August 2016 to July 2017. Here, they gained experience in an academic setting.

In 2017, Christian joined PPD as a Senior Scientist. In this role, they performed complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products, adhering to cGMP guidelines. Christian also acted as the project manager for multiple projects, interacting with clients and communicating regulatory issues with senior team members. Christian provided expertise in data analysis, report writing, and protocol development.

Most recently, Christian has been working at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics since July 2019. Christian started as a Process Engineer and gradually progressed to the role of Senior Process Engineer. Christian is currently serving as the Manager of Process Engineering. Their responsibilities in this role include overseeing process engineering operations and ensuring efficient and effective production processes.

Throughout their career, Christian Tormos has demonstrated their abilities as a skilled scientist and engineer, consistently taking on roles with increasing responsibilities.

Christian Tormos pursued their education in the field of Chemical Engineering, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Iowa State University, which they obtained in the duration of their studies from 2008 to 2012. Christian then proceeded to further their knowledge and expertise by enrolling at Oklahoma State University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering. Christian successfully completed their doctoral studies from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained two certifications, namely "Correlation and Regression" and "Statistical Thinking and Problem Solving," from SAS in October 2021.
