Kevin Monroe has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and laboratory work. Kevin started their career in 2011 as a Lab Technician at Danisco, where they were involved in encapsulation of products for clinical studies, sample enumeration, and media preparation. In 2012, they worked as a Biotechnology Laboratory Technician at CELLSCRIPT, INC., where they gained experience in working within a cGMP production environment, weekly environmental monitoring, and solution making and media preparation.
In 2013, Kevin joined Thermo Fisher Scientific (Life Technologies) as a Scientist I, specializing in cell biology, primary, and stem cells. Their responsibilities included growing and maintaining stem cell cultures, custom editing of cell cultures, and maintaining the stem cell laboratory.
Kevin then moved to FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics in 2014, starting as a Research Specialist II. During their tenure, they advanced to the role of Senior Research Specialist, where they focused on the production of adult stem cells from primary tissue, stem cell production in a GMP environment, and investigating improvements to iPSC development methods. Currently, they hold the position of Scientist at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics.
Kevin Monroe attended Madison Area Technical College from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Biotechnology Laboratory Technician. During the same period, they also received a Certificate in Stem Cell Technologies from the same institution. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, Kevin attended UW-Green Bay, but it is not specified if they obtained a degree or field of study. Lastly, from 2003 to 2005, they attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Welding Technology/Welder.
