Kristin Willis

R&D Research Specialist II at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics

Kristin Willis began their work experience as a Crew Trainer at Culver's Restaurants from July 2014 to January 2019. From June 2014 to May 2016, they worked as a self-employed Piano Teacher. In 2019, they joined Covance as a Study Technician I, where they performed histology tasks and collaborated with other interns on improving the pathology department's digital slide scanning process. In 2020, they worked at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Federico Rey Research Lab. Kristin also held the role of Associate Scientist II, Downstream Biomanufacturing at Aldevron from June 2020 to January 2022. At Aldevron, they gained experience in antibody purification processes. Kristin then transitioned to the role of Scientist I, Downstream Biomanufacturing from January 2022 to April 2022, where they were responsible for purifying research grade proteins. From April 2022 to June 2023, they worked as a Scientist I, Upstream Process Development at Aldevron, where they focused on designing and executing experiments for E. coli fermentation. Currently, they are employed at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics as an R&D Research Specialist II starting from June 2023.

Kristin Willis began their education at Slinger High School, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they did not obtain a specific degree or pursue a field of study. Following their high school education, Kristin went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2016 to 2020. There, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, with a focus on the general field. In addition to their academic achievements, Kristin also obtained the "Train the Trainer" certification from LinkedIn in October 2021.
