Sarah Burton, MS has several years of experience in the field of cellular biology and stem cell research. Sarah currently works as a Senior Scientist at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, a position they have held since March 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Cellular Dynamics International for over a decade in various roles. Sarah started as a Research Specialist in April 2009 and was later promoted to Senior Research Specialist, where they focused on feasibility testing and research into differentiation of multiple cell types from human iPSCs. Sarah was also involved in collaborative projects and was a member of product development teams.

Before joining Cellular Dynamics International, Sarah worked as an Associate Research Specialist at the University of Wisconsin from May 2008 to April 2009. During their time there, they worked in the lab of Dr. Su Chun Zhang, focusing on the differentiation of hESC/hiPSCs into neural cell types.

Sarah's work experience also includes being an Undergraduate Student Hourly at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sarah worked in the lab of Dr. Peiman Hematti in the Department of Immunology, where they focused on the differentiation of hESC-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Additionally, they worked in the lab of Dr. Aimen Shaaban in the Department of Surgery, focusing on the engraftment of hESC-derived hematopoietic stem cells.

Sarah Burton earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Microbiology & Immunology, with a focus on Genetics, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Sarah completed their undergraduate studies from 2002 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012.
