Giovanna Santini

Giovanna Santini is a communication consultant at FUNBIO, focusing on the participatory construction of recommendations for combating marine litter in Rio de Janeiro, while managing social media and promoting events and campaigns for the Rede Oceano Limpo - RJ. As a technical collaborator at the Cátedra UNESCO para Sustentabilidade do Oceano, Giovanna develops educational materials addressing marine litter and engages in the "Conservação em Prosa" podcast. At the Universidade de São Paulo, Giovanna integrated public policy efforts to disseminate environmental knowledge, contributed to marine protected area initiatives, and conducted research in paleoclimate and physical oceanography. Previous experience includes consulting for the Painel Brasileiro para o Futuro do Oceano, where Giovanna worked on sustainable ocean policies, and promoting scientific content for the RedECOST project. Giovanna is currently pursuing a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Science and Technology of the Sea at Unifesp and holds an MBA in Environmental Management from the Universidade Federal do Paraná.
