Carlos J Rodriguez-Hernandez

Carlos J Rodriguez-Hernandez is an experienced researcher specializing in Pediatric Oncology with a focus on Neuroblastic Tumors. Currently employed at Fundació Sant Joan de Déu since May 2012, Carlos is investigating the roles of the calcium-sensing receptor and parathyroid hormone-related protein, as well as the Unfolded Protein Response in treatment responses. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at IRB Barcelona, where Carlos assessed drug hepatotoxicity in a rat model, and a PhD position at Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas, exploring molecular targets of immunosuppressant drugs. Carlos also undertook PhD research at Hospital Universitario de Canarias and a collaboration fellowship at Universidad de La Laguna, focusing on the ligninolytic properties of a fungus.
