Marta del Campo Milan has extensive experience in the field of biomedical research and biotechnology. Marta is currently the Head of the Fluid Biomarkers Facility at the BarcelonaBeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a position they started in February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Investigator at Universidad CEU San Pablo, where they conducted research and held a Research Assistant Professor position since June 2019.

Before joining CEU San Pablo, Marta worked at VUmc as an Assistant Professor and Post-doctoral researcher from December 2018 to June 2019. Marta also gained valuable experience during their time as a PhD student at VU University Medical Center, where they focused on biochemical and proteomic approaches for the identification of biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Their PhD project was part of the European Neuroscience Campus Network within the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate program.

Marta's educational background includes an MSc in Biotechnology (Health Biotechnology) from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, where they conducted research on the inhibitory effect of male sex hormones on cell proliferation signaling pathways for their master's thesis. Marta also studied at the University of Bedfordshire as a student.

Marta del Campo Milan pursued their education in the field of biotechnology and biology. From 2004 to 2010, they attended Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biotechnology, with a specialization in Health Biotechnology. Additionally, during the period of 2007-2008, Marta del Campo Milan studied Molecular Biology at the University of Bedfordshire, earning a BSc degree.
