Müge Akıncı began their work experience in 2015 as a Voluntary Observer at Özel Çapa Hastanesi, where they gained knowledge on aphasia and speech therapies and provided assistance to speech therapies for four individuals with aphasia. In 2016, they volunteered as an English Teacher at Santa Cruz Colegio through AIESEC. Müge then worked as a Research Intern at the University of Valencia's Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab from March to May 2017. In 2018, Müge served as a Research Intern at Università degli Studi di Verona. Most recently, they have been working as a Predoctoral Researcher at BarcelonaBeta Brain Research Center, Fundación Pasqual Maragall since August 2020, focusing on Alzheimer's Prevention Program - Clinical, Biomarker and Risk Factors Research Group and the project on Brain Resilience and Vulnerability during Midlife under the supervision of Dra. Eider M. Arenaza-Urquijo.
Müge Akıncı completed their education in the following chronological order:
- From 2013 to 2017, they attended Yeditepe University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
- In 2015 and 2016, they also attended Jagiellonian University, where they pursued a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
- From 2017 to 2019, they joined Università di Trento and completed a Master of Science degree in Cognitive Neuroscience.
- In September 2019, they attended the School on Brain Connectomics at Università degli Studi di Verona and acquired a certification in this field.
- Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedicine at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The degree started in 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2024.
In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in music performance from the London College of Music Examinations in 2011 and 2013. Müge also holds a Certificate of High Honour from Yeditepe University, received in March 2017.
