James Simmons

James Simmons has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and network engineering. James most recently worked at Fundrise as the Director of Software Engineering starting in January 2022. Prior to that, James held the position of Lead Software Engineer at Fundrise from January 2019 until December 2021. James also worked as a Software Engineer at Fundrise from April to December 2018. Before joining Fundrise, James worked as a Software Engineer at Indiggo - the Leadership Platform from October 2015 to April 2018. James started their career at Harris Corporation as a Software Engineer from September 2012 to October 2015. Prior to that, James worked as an RF Engineer at Exelis from January to September 2012. James began their career as a Network Engineer at Verizon Federal Network Systems from July 2010 to January 2012.

From 2006 to 2010, James Simmons attended Virginia Tech where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
