Rajesh Chopra

Rajesh Chopra is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in silicon engineering and emulation. Currently serving as Senior Director of Silicon Engineering at Microsoft Azure since February 2023, Rajesh contributes to the success of the Cloud Data Center DPU team. Prior to this role, Rajesh held the position of Senior Director of Emulation & Prototyping at Fungible Inc. until its acquisition by Microsoft, driving efforts in emulation and prototyping. Rajesh's career includes leadership positions at several prominent companies, such as Director of Engineering at a stealth startup, Sr. Principal Engineer at NetSpeed Systems, and Principal Design Engineer at MoSys, showcasing a strong background in micro-architecture, RTL design, and SoC development. Rajesh's expertise is further highlighted by a previous role as Director of Engineering at T-RAM, leading projects on high-performance cache memory design, and a foundational engineering role at Hitachi Microsystems Inc., where innovations in microprocessor architecture were achieved.
