Sal Romero

Sal Romero has extensive experience in education and community engagement, currently serving as Chief of Staff and Director of Equity and Community Engagement at Harrisonburg City Schools since July 2006. Additionally, Sal holds the position of Licensed Realtor at Funkhouser Real Estate Group since May 2021 and serves as Vice Mayor for the City of Harrisonburg, VA, since January 2019. Prior experience includes working as an Athletic Trainer at Buffalo Gap High School from July 2004 to June 2006. Sal Romero earned a Master of Science in Education from Shenandoah University and holds multiple degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from James Madison University.
