Michael Lamoureux is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in mathematics and its applications. Serving as the VP of Research & Lab Services at FuseForward since July 2021, Michael combines this role with a long-standing position as a Faculty Professor at the University of Calgary since December 1992. Michael’s contributions to the university include research in functional and harmonic analysis, operator theory, and their applications to geophysics and imaging, alongside responsibilities as Head of the Mathematics and Statistics department. Previous roles include Innovation Coordinator at the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences and Vice President (West) at the Canadian Mathematical Society. Michael holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Alberta.
