Matt Purcell has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Matt started their career in 1995 with Sprint, where they worked as an Application Support Manager and later as a Data Sales Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for acquiring new customers, retaining existing ones, and developing marketing plans for wireline data services.
In 2004, Matt transitioned to the role of Solutions Engineer at Sprint Enterprise Solutions, where they served as a Regional Lead Architect. Matt collaborated with client account teams to design and implement converged network solutions, including SIP Trunking, Mobile Integration, Integrated Conferencing, and cloud-based UC solutions.
From 2015 to 2020, Matt worked as a Solutions Engineer at Sprint, specializing in UCaaS and Managed Wi-Fi solutions. Matt played a pivotal role in developing and implementing cloud-based workplace communication solutions for enterprise clients. Matt also led efforts with Product Management to create quoting tools, presentation templates, and RFP materials for the supported portfolio.
In 2020, Matt joined T-Mobile as a Solutions Engineer, focusing on Wireline and Cloud-based services. Matt provided pre-sale and post-sale design and engineering support for enterprise customers, including the design of proposed solutions, the engagement of strategic partners, and ongoing client support. Additionally, they served as a senior member of the T-Mobile UCaaS Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team, promoting T-Mobile's SIP/UCaaS/Managed Wi-Fi Portfolio and providing tier 2 engineering assistance to local account teams.
Matt's most recent work experience is with Fusion Connect, where they currently work as a Principal Solutions Engineer. Matt provides pre-sale design and engineering support for Fusion Connect's managed communication services, with a specific focus on Microsoft Teams Operator Connect, Direct Routing Calling services, and other supported solutions such as MS365, CCaaS, Cisco-Broadsoft UCaaS, and SIP Trunking. Their responsibilities include understanding customer technical requirements, designing proposed solutions, creating Customer Statements of Work, and providing ongoing client support.
