Lia Firth

Lia Firth's work experience begins with their role as the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Lead at Future Fields (YC S20), starting in 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Li Ka Shing Applied Virology Institute as a Quality Control Technician from October 2017 to June 2021. In 2015, they held a position as a Senior Research Associate at Gilead Sciences, where they were responsible for analytical method development and process development analytical support. From 2009 to 2015, Lia worked at EMD Serono as a Senior Quality Control Analyst, performing routine analyses for lot release and stability testing of GMP raw materials and finished drug products. Additionally, they worked at QSV Biologics from 2006 to 2009 as a QC Analyst II, performing routine analyses in a GMP manufacturing facility under clean room conditions. Throughout their career, Lia has demonstrated proficiency in using and troubleshooting a variety of laboratory equipment and has experience with tasks such as scheduling lab tests, writing SOPs, and completing lab equipment installations and operations.

Lia Firth began their education in 2001 at the University of Alberta, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Pharmacology. Lia completed their studies in 2006. Additionally, Lia Firth obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Pharmacology from the University of Alberta, although the start and end years for this degree are unknown.
