Michael Buckland

Michael Buckland has a diverse work experience in the field of taxation. Michael currently holds the position of Director Tax Compliance at Future Fund since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager, Financial Services Taxation at PwC Australia from January 2019 to May 2021. Michael also has experience working as a Senior Tax Manager and Tax Manager, Investments at Australian Unity from 2015 to 2019. Earlier in their career, they served as an Associate Director, Tax Operations Business Analyst at UBS for a brief period in 2015. Michael has also worked at Thomson Reuters as a Senior Manager - Content Team from 2012 to 2014 and at Future Capital Partners as a Tax Manager from 2010 to 2012. Michael started their career as a Senior Tax Consultant at PwC from 2005 to 2009.

Michael Buckland attended The University of Auckland from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Information Systems. In 2004, they also completed a Graduate Diploma of Commerce in Finance at The University of Auckland.
