Ed Phillips

Ed Phillips is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as the Head of Global and Managing Director at Future Planet Capital, where responsibilities include leading global venture strategies and ocean strategy initiatives. As a founding member, Ed played a pivotal role in growing the firm from a $20M experiment fund to approximately $450M in committed capital, overseeing the firm's expansion to over 30 employees in the UK. Ed's extensive investment experience includes involvement in various companies such as Captura, Curebase, and Vaccitech. In addition to current board roles at Captura, Queen of Raw, and Rovco, Ed is actively engaged in investment committees and has previously held fellowship positions at Berkeley SkyDeck and Seedrs. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol and completion of the Executive Programme in Venture Capital at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
