Derek Matthews

Derek Matthews has extensive work experience in the ticketing industry. Derek began their career in 2004 as a Business Unit Manager at beCogent Ltd. Derek then moved to Heart of Midlothian FC in 2006 as the Head of Ticketing & Hospitality. In 2011, they became the Head of Ticketing at DF Concerts & Events, and in 2012 they were the Area Field Manager at Virgin Media. In 2013, they took on the role of Head of Ticketing at Aberdeen Football Club. In 2018, they began working at Ticketmaster Middle East as the Head of Ticketing (venues). Derek also took on the role of Head of Ticketing at Middlesbrough FC. In 2019, they became the Ticketing Operations Manager at Red61. In 2021, they began working at The R&A as Ticketing Operations-149th Open, and they are currently the Country Manager (Scotland) at Future Ticketing.

Derek Matthews attended Bo'ness Academy from 1979 to 1984.
