Paul Leavy has held various roles in the past 28 years. In 2021, they are the Business Success & Development Manager for Future Ticketing Ltd, a supplier of ticketing software services, capacity data management, & access control systems. In 1995, they were a Language Consultant for Inlingua, providing Business English language services to corporations based in Milan and hinterland. From 1993 to 1995, they were a Recruitment Consultant for Key Personnel Recruitment Agency, researching the recruitment industry in Ireland and acting as a recruitment consultant.

Paul Leavy obtained a B.Sc. Degree in Marketing Management from Technological University Dublin in 1993, following four years of study beginning in 1989. Subsequently, in 2011, they completed a Diploma in Management from Henley Business School as part of an IBM sponsored participation in Henley corporate MBA programme.
