Adriaan Wierenga is a seasoned professional in the field of public order law and emergency management, currently serving as a guest lecturer and researcher in emergency law at Universiteit Leiden since June 2024. Wierenga has extensive experience as a senior researcher in public order law, emergency response, and crisis management at Centrum voor Openbare Orde en Veiligheid - Rijksuniversiteit Groningen since September 2009, and has held various educational roles including guest lecturer positions at Politieacademie and authoring texts for Wolters Kluwer.
