Julieta Martinelli is a seasoned journalist and producer with extensive experience in investigative audio storytelling and reporting. As a Senior Producer at The Futuro Media Group since September 2019, Martinelli has led teams in producing long-form serialized investigative audio stories and podcasts across multiple divisions. Notably, Martinelli served as Co-Producer and Reporter for the Pulitzer Prize-winning podcast "Suave," focusing on juvenile incarceration. Previous roles include Senior Producer at Latino USA, where award-winning reporting on criminal justice and immigration was conducted, as well as a Soros Justice Media Fellow at the Open Society Foundations, where Martinelli documented the human consequences of immigration policies. Additional experience encompasses criminal justice reporting at Nashville Public Radio and various writing and content production roles, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia State University.
