Song Miao

Song MIAO is a Senior Research Officer at Teagasc, the agriculture and food development authority in Ireland, where involvement extends back to May 2009. In January 2024, Song MIAO assumed the role of Distinguished Professor at Beijing Technology and Business University while simultaneously serving as the Director of the China-Ireland International Cooperation Centre for Food Material Science and Structure Design since January 2018. Additionally, Song MIAO holds the position of Chair Professor at Fujian Agriculture & Forestry University since December 2014 and has been an Adjunct Professor of Food Technology at Fuzhou University since February 2015. Previously, Song MIAO also served as an Adjunct Professor at University College Cork and Zhejiang University. Song MIAO's experience includes contributions to various management committees for COST Actions in the fields of materials science and food and agriculture from 2010 to 2019, as well as a research management role at Unilever R&D Vlaardingen from January 2006 to July 2009. Song MIAO earned a PhD in Food Science and Technology from University College Cork.
