Patrick Cormier

Patrick Cormier has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2005 as an Africa & MIddle East Correspondent and Photographer for Guardian News & Media. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the President and Producer of Leitmotiv Studio, where they were responsible for strategic planning, marketing communications, and corporate positioning.

From 2010 to 2013, Cormier worked at SID LEE as a Product Owner, collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing scrum development teams. During this time, they led projects that were shortlisted at Cannes Advertisement prices and played a key role in developing Luxury Retreat.

Patrick then worked as a Product Owner and Scrum Master at Patrick Cormier from 2013 to 2015, where they defined product strategies, led scrum teams, and established budgets and pricing strategies. Patrick successfully turned market requirements into a sellable product, generating revenue within six months.

At LexisNexis from 2016 to 2018, Cormier served as a Bilingual Product Manager, developing product strategies, identifying market gaps, and implementing pricing and bundling approaches. Patrick revitalized a declining product in the Canadian market, leading to increased adoption rates and revenue growth.

From 2018 to 2019, Cormier worked at WorkJam as a Product Owner and Scrum Master, prioritizing feature backlogs, coordinating with leadership, and leading scrum teams. Patrick implemented an ideation process that delivered features making a significant impact for customers and increased engagement with the development team.

Cormier then joined SITAONAIR from 2019 to 2020 as a Senior Product Manager, responsible for developing product strategies, defining roadmaps, and supporting business development initiatives. Patrick achieved significant accomplishments, including improving NPS scores and driving adoption of the flagship product.

From 2020 to 2021, Cormier worked at Ubisoft as a Product Manager, focusing on process improvements and educating teams on SRE concepts. Patrick decommissioned and introduced new product offerings, leading the transition to a cloud-first approach and supervising key performance indicators for reporting teams.

Most recently, Cormier joined Tink in 2021 as a Scrum Master, working on the SAFe framework. Patrick then moved to FX Innovation in 2022, where they currently serve as a Product Owner and Scrum Master SAFe.

Patrick Cormier has a diverse education history. Patrick obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from McGill University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued studies in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MITx).

In addition to their degrees, Patrick also holds several certifications. These include an in-progress Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISP) certification from Cisco, an in-progress Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification from Cisco, a Yellow Belt certification from the Six Sigma Management Institute, and an MCDBA - SQL Server 2000 certification from Microsoft. Patrick also holds a MCSE - Windows 2000 Server certification from Microsoft and certifications from AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company, including Certified Big Data - Specialty, Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Security - Specialty, and Certified Solutions Architect - Associate. Lastly, Patrick has an Oracle Database 11g: Administration I 1Z0-052 certification, as well as certifications from PMI-Montreal, including PMI Agile Certified Practitioner and Project Management Professional.
