Julie Crowe Willoughby

Julie Crowe Willoughby, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of technology and innovation, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at both TerraSafe Materials, Inc. and DisSolves since March 2024, focusing on sustainable packaging solutions. Willoughby is also the President and Founder of Blue Hummingbird, LLC, and holds advisory roles at FyberX and Tandem Repeat. Previously, Willoughby was Chief Scientific Officer & Advisor at Chief, Senior Scientific Advisor and Chief Scientific and Commercialization Officer at Circ®, and held significant positions at Nike, including Director of the Coatings Program. Academic contributions include serving as an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University and leading research at MeadWestvaco.
