Rens Schoenmakers

Rens Schoenmakers has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 1992, they worked as a Commercial Manager at Vihome Group b.v., a manufacturer and distributor of Nursing Home and Homecare products. From 1997 to 2000, Schoenmakers served as the Managing Director at Hill-Rom The Netherlands, a U.S. manufacturer of Hospital and Nursing Home equipment. Rens then moved on to become the Managing Director of Smartmission Benelux, a start-up focused on supply chain management for the European healthcare industry, where they were responsible for setting up the company's Benelux unit. From 2002 to 2012, Schoenmakers served as the Managing Director of Mobility and Senior Vice President at Handicare Group, a global company supplying products and services for the homecare/healthcare market. In 2014, they became the CEO of Welzorg Nederland BV, offering medical aids and services to the elderly and people with disabilities. Schoenmakers also served as a Board member at Firevaned from 2014 to 2017. In 2016, they became a Mentor/Coach at Rockstart and continued in this role until 2021. In 2018, Schoenmakers took on a similar role as Mentor/Coach at YES!Delft. Rens'smost recent role, starting in 2019, has been as the CEO of FYEO, the leading player in refractive surgery in The Netherlands for non-insured care. Additionally, Schoenmakers joined the Supervisory Board of LivAssured BV in 2019.
