Shelley Copsey has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Shelley is currently a Member at Chief since 2023. Before that, they were the Co-founder & CEO of FYLD, a venture that empowers utilities field teams and managers to make data-driven decisions. Prior to FYLD, Shelley was a Board Director at Coviu Global, a telehealth start-up, where they played a key role in its growth during the Covid-19 period. Shelley also served as the CEO and Director at GeoSLAM Ltd, a company specializing in 3D mobile mapping technology. Additionally, Shelley worked at CSIRO's Data61 as the New Ventures & Commercialisation Leader, driving the commercialization of cutting-edge data technologies. Shelley also has extensive experience at PwC Australia, where they held leadership roles in the Innovation and Disruption team, focusing on digital ventures, corporate venturing, and exploring opportunities arising from digital disruption and innovation. Shelley started their career as a Senior Tax Consultant at KPMG Australia.
Shelley Copsey received their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Adelaide in the period from 1997 to 2000. Later, they pursued a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand between 2000 and 2001. Subsequently, Shelley engaged in further professional development by attending the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2017, where they obtained a degree in Corporate Entrepreneurship. In 2018, they briefly studied Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, Shelley has been recognized for their accomplishments, as they were named a finalist for Executive of the Year in 2019 by the Nottinghamshire Women in Business Awards. Furthermore, they are a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants affiliated with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
