Mike Palella

Mike Palella has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Mike is currently the VP of Technology at FYX Fleet Roadside Assistance since June 2021. Before that, they held various positions at ShopperTrak, now a division of JCI/Tyco, including VP of Technology from July 2013 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of technology, including software and hardware engineering, technology operations, and solutions delivery. Mike also served as the Director of Infrastructure Services from February 2010 to July 2013, where they led a team of IT professionals and contributed to the design of the company's proprietary IoT protocol. Prior to that, they held the position of Technology Operations Manager from September 2005 to February 2010, where they managed the production support team and implemented a formal change management process. Mike also served as the Infrastructure Services Manager from December 2001 to September 2005, overseeing technology integration and telecommunications operations.

Before joining ShopperTrak, Mike Palella worked at RCT Systems, Inc. as a Systems Engineer from March 1998 to December 2001. In this role, they were responsible for network and server infrastructure planning and engineering. Prior to that, they served as an Installation Project Manager from September 1996 to March 1998, overseeing the installation of the PeopleCounter system in retail locations.

Mike Palella began their career at Matsushita, where they worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer from May 1993 to September 1996, and as a Quality Assurance Technician from May 1990 to May 1993.

Mike Palella obtained an Associate's Degree in Electronics and Computer Technology from DeVry University, which they completed from 1988 to 1990. In terms of additional certifications, Mike gained the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the SANS Institute in May 2003.
