Amauri Soares

Mr. Amauri Soares graduated in journalism from the Universidade do Estado de São Paulo (Unesp) in 1987 and, in the same year, began his career as an intern at the Globo channel in Bauru. He has worked as a reporter, editor, presenter and editor-in-chief on several TV shows. He remained in Bauru until he assumed the post of executive editor of “Bom Dia São Paulo”, in 1989. He was director of journalism in São Paulo, executive director of the Central Globo of Journalism, in 2001, and, the following year, director of Globo International, based in New York. He returned to Brazil in 2007 to assume the position of director of Projects and Special Events and the coordination of Globo Rio. In 2013, he became director of Central Globo Programming. In 2020, after the restructuring of Grupo Globo companies, he became director of TV Globo Channel. In November 2021, Amauri took over the command of the new area called TV Globo and Affiliates, comprising our linear TV and its entire relationship network.
