Darlene Burns

Darlene Burns has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Darlene is currently working as the Director of Key Customer Marketing at G1 Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2021, where they play a crucial role in shaping customer relationships. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director of Marketing/Key Customer at the same company from November 2019 to January 2021.

Before joining G1 Therapeutics, Inc., Darlene worked as a Regional Account Director/Trade and Key Accounts at Clovis Oncology from January 2019 to November 2019. Darlene also served as an Oncology Sales Specialist at Merck Oncology from February 2016 to January 2019 and as a Senior Key Customer Product Manager at Clovis Oncology from March 2015 to February 2016.

Darlene's professional journey began at Sanofi Aventis Oncology, where they worked as an Executive Oncology Specialist from September 2002 to April 2007. Darlene then joined Amgen as a Hospital Systems Manager, leading key accounts for supportive care agents and CRC launch for Vectibix, and achieving recognition in the Presidents club from April 2007 to November 2008. Darlene also served as a Regional Business Development Representative at Caris Life Sciences from November 2008 to August 2010, launching a first-in-class Molecular Profiling Platform and earning multiple awards, including a client service award.

Their earlier roles include being a Senior Marketing Manager/Thyroid Lead and a Senior Oncology Representative at Onyx Pharmaceuticals from May 2013 to August 2014 and from August 2010 to May 2013, respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Southeast Region Account Manager at Sequenta, Inc. from August 2014 to March 2015.

Darlene Burns has attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree. Additionally, they have also completed their high school education at New Hanover High School.
