Joel Gerber has had a diverse and extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Joel started their career at Sterling Commerce in 1997, where they held multiple positions, including Manager of Systems Architecture and VP of Software Development. During their time at Sterling Commerce, they managed global software development teams and was responsible for product architecture, application performance, and user interfaces.
In 2007, Joel joined SMobile Systems as Sr VP of Software Development and IT, where they directed a global team in building and supporting wireless security products. Joel consistently delivered on-time and within-budget solutions.
From 2008 to 2013, Joel worked at Blue Diesel as Sr Vice President of Technology. Joel led the technology team responsible for building and supporting interactive clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Joel then joined GSW in 2013 as EVP and Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they oversaw technology selection and direction for client projects, built and managed technology teams across different locations, and focused on providing innovative software solutions.
After leaving GSW in 2015, Joel held multiple roles, including VP of Technology at Wilson+gearDigital, Member of the Board of Directors at CropZilla Software, and Member of the Technical Working Group at Smart Columbus.
In 2016, Joel joined Adheris Health as SVP of Technology, where they led the technology team and contributed to the architecture, development, and deployment of technology solutions.
Joel also served as a Mentor at Rev1 Ventures and is currently working as SVP of Technology at g2o as of 2022.
Throughout their career, Joel consistently demonstrated their ability to build and manage technology teams, develop standards and processes, and deliver high-quality solutions within budget and on time.
Joel Gerber holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Grove City College. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Azure Administration Essential Training from LinkedIn in January 2022, and Machine Learning with Python: Foundations from LinkedIn in October 2021.
