Marek Gebura

Marek Gebura is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials engineering and research, currently serving as a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Materials & Machine Mechanics, Slovak Academy of Sciences, and as an R&D Advisor at GA Drilling since October 2021. In addition, Marek co-founded Space scAvengers in January 2021, where the focus is on developing affordable solutions for in-orbit services, particularly in Active Debris Removal and space manufacturing and recycling. Previously, Marek held various roles at GA Drilling from April 2011 to March 2021, including Research Director and Head of Research and Development, with significant contributions to plasma drilling technology and composite electrode development. Marek's academic background includes a PhD in Materials Engineering and a Dipl.-Ing. degree from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave, where research encompassed nickel-based single crystal superalloys and molybdenum silicides.
