Chandan Pulletikurthi, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of reliability engineering, materials engineering, and research and development.
Chandan is currently employed at GAF Energy as a Reliability-II Engineer, starting in December 2022. Prior to GAF Energy, Chandan worked at Apple as a Reliability Engineer from October 2021 to December 2022.
Before joining Apple, they held the position of Sr. Scientist at Knowles Corporation from April 2021 to September 2021.
From November 2017 to May 2020, Chandan worked at Corning Incorporated as a Reliability Measurement Scientist. In this role, they executed and managed reliability and failure analysis projects for various industries, including electronics, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and automobiles. Chandan also collaborated with R&D, manufacturing, and design teams for product development.
Prior to Corning Incorporated, Chandan worked at TH Hill Associates Inc. as a Materials Engineer from December 2014 to February 2016. Here, their responsibilities included failure analysis of drilling components, conducting root-cause failure analysis, and developing specifications for oil tubular components and drilling equipment. Chandan also conducted on-site visits to external client locations for failure analysis and monitoring/manufacturing processes.
Chandan's early work experience includes a PhD research assistant role at Florida International University's Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department from December 2010 to July 2014. Their research focused on the development and characterization of novel biodegradable polymer coated metallic alloys for medical implant applications. Chandan conducted extensive research and developmental studies on surface treatments, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties of these materials. Chandan also acquired hands-on experience in conducting various industrial surface treatments and sterilization techniques.
Additionally, Chandan worked as a Master's graduate research assistant at Florida International University's Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department from August 2007 to December 2009.
Chandan Pulletikurthi, PhD has an extensive education history with a focus on materials science and engineering. Chandan earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Florida International University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the same institution, from 2007 to 2009. Chandan's educational journey began at Osmania University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from 2003 to 2007.
In addition to their academic achievements, Chandan has also obtained several certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. Chandan became a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) through ASQ - World Headquarters in January 2021. Furthermore, they completed the "Learning Minitab" certification offered by LinkedIn in November 2020. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and professional development in their field.
