Matthew Michael

Matthew Michael has a diverse work experience spanning several industries, including GAF, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Applied Materials, and the United States Navy. Matthew has held various leadership roles throughout their career, with a focus on process engineering, manufacturing, and project management. In their most recent position at GAF, they served as the Senior Director, leading teams responsible for business systems, process technology development, and process engineering. Prior to that, they worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES as a Global Sourcing Manager and R&D Operations Chief of Staff. Matthew also has experience at Applied Materials as an Operations Manager and Technical Program Manager, and at GAF Building Materials as a Plant Manager. Matthew began their career in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant, where they gained extensive engineering and leadership skills.

Matthew Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman, which they completed from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications including "Assessing and Improving Strategic Plans," "Leading Strategically," "Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning," "Delegating from a Distance," "Delegating Tasks," and "Learning Industrial Automation" from LinkedIn. Matthew also attained the "Duolingo German Fluency: Intermediate (Estimated)" certification from Duolingo in 2016, and completed "An Introduction to Operations Management" course from Coursera in 2014.
