Laura Sass

Laura Sass currently serves as the Assistant Environmental Manager and Senior Project Environmental Specialist at GAI Consultants, Inc., where responsibilities include environmental surveys, permitting, inspections, and database management and design since April 2015. Additionally, Laura has been working as an Aquatic Ecologist, Database Management System (DBMS) expert, and Website Designer at the Illinois Natural History Survey since August 2006. Previous roles include Aquatic Ecologist at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources from 2006 to 2011 and Graduate Assistant at the Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit from June 2004 to August 2006. Laura began a career in fisheries as a Fishery Technician at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources from June 2002 to June 2004. Laura holds a Master of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
