Dr. Robert Quilleash was born and raised in Sioux City, IA. He attended Iowa State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1995. Dr. Quilleash continued his education at The Illinois College of Optometry and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Optometry in 1999. While at the Illinois College of Optometry, he received the VSP scholarship for clinical excellence and was one of only two student members on the ethics committee.
Dr. Quilleash has practiced optometry in Peoria since 1999. In recent years, he also worked with cutting-edge cataract surgery technology as a Clinical Applications Specialists for Alcon LensX and as a Clinical Affairs Manager for Calhoun Vision overseeing the FDA trial of a new type of cataract surgery implant. In July 2017, Dr. Quilleash joined Gailey Eye Clinic to provide primary eye care including routine eye exams, contact lens service, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and post-operative care. He mainly sees patients in Peoria, and Galesburg.
Dr. Quilleash is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association PAC, and American Optometric Association PAC. He has held several leadership roles at the Illinois Optometric Association and was President of the state Association in 2014.
