Sara Morales López has a diverse work experience in the field of biology research. Sara started their career as a research intern at the Medical Research Institute of La Princesa in 2014, where they worked until June 2015. Following this, they joined Minoryx Therapeutics as a research intern from February 2016 to September 2016. In this role, they focused on the pre-clinical and clinical development of a drug to treat an orphan neurometabolic disease called X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD). Sara also identified and assessed biomarkers in plasma and spinal cord of a model for ALD after treatment with PPARδ agonists.
In 2017, Sara became a research intern at the University of Barcelona, where they worked until May 2018. During this time, they gained experience in various research projects. Most recently, Sara joined Gain Therapeutics in June 2018 as a Biology Researcher, where they are currently employed.
Sara Morales López obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in the years 2011 to 2015. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Pharmacology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 2015 to 2016. No specific field of study was mentioned for either of these degrees.
