Roland Mayea

Roland Mayea has a diverse work experience in various industries. Roland started their career in 2017 as a Kennel Technician/Veterinary Technician at Barsch Animal Clinic, where they worked until September 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Ride Operator at ZooTampa at Lowry Park from May to October, and then transitioned to VCA Animal Hospitals as a Veterinary Technician from October 2019 to March 2020. In 2020, Roland joined BridgePrep Academy as an Information Technology Support Specialist, where they worked until May 2021. Roland then moved to HERO Managed Services as a Service Technician from May 2021 to September 2022. Currently, Roland works at Gainesville Regional Utilities, where they have held two roles so far. Roland started as a Network Technician II from September 2022 to February 2023 and is currently serving as an IT Infrastructure Designer and Administrator from February 2023 onwards.

Roland Mayea has a diverse education history. Roland first attended Hillsborough Community College from 2016 to 2019, where they studied Veterinary Medicine. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of South Florida from 2019 to 2021. Following this, Roland enrolled in the University of Maryland Global Campus for one year in 2022, completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Network and Cybersecurity. In addition to their formal education, Roland also obtained several certifications related to IT support and security. In August 2020, they acquired the Google IT Support Professional Certificate, Google IT Support Specialization, IT Security: Defense against the digital dark arts, System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services, Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User, The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking, and Technical Support Fundamentals through Coursera. Furthermore, Roland achieved a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networks and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus, although the specific completion date is unknown.
